Until now and due to the low number of requests, the Association could attend all requests to cross the Strait that were arriving without major problem.
The increase in demand has forced the Association to make the allocation of places more than one year in the monitoring of a waiting list.
PROCEDURE TO OBTAIN SLOT
To make the reservation for crossing the Strait, you must first send an e-mail to the Association communicating the intention of the swimmer and wait for the answer. It is not necessary to send any documentation, only the application form.

Periodically, on our website, the deadline for the allocation of places of a given year will be announced based on a series of criteria: Once the calendar is completed, you should wait for an email from the Association to start sending the required documentation.
Normally during the month of November of each year the crosses of the following year will be awarded based on a series of criteria:
- Those who could not do it during the season due to weather problems.
- The oldest requests.
- By number of swimmers at each crossing.
- Those in which any special circumstance may incur.

Documentation:
Once the crossing calendar is completed, from the beginning of December, the required documentation will be sent:
- Copy of swimmers’ passports (in force).
- Characteristics of the swimmers (average speed, events in which they participated etc.).
- The completed and signed application form (Download).
- Medical form, to be completed and signed by a doctor (download).
- The payment of 20% of the total cost (reservation).
**** The copy of the passport is the first to be sent when the presence of the swimmer has been confirmed at the crossing of a given year the rest of the documentation when requested by the Association. For this reason, please have it available and updated in the waiting process.
DON´T SEND ANY DOCUMENTATION UNTIL THE ASSOCIATION CONFIRMS THE CROSSING.
